Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. In 2001, she founded The Corcoran Group in New York City. She later sold the company to NRT for $66 millions. Then, shortly after she resigned from the business. Corcoran was one of ABC's initial Shark investors, has been a part of each episode of Shark Tank. In February of 2020 Corcoran was involved in 53 deals, the most significant being a $350,000 deal that included 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second of a family of 10 kids and was raised in Edgewater. Florence, her mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father was a multi-talented employee throughout Corcoran's childhood. The family relied on free food deliveries from a local grocery store. Corcoran recalls that her father was a drunkard who sometimes treated her mother with contempt and disrespect, especially after he had been drinking. Corcoran was a struggle in school, and eventually discovered that she was dyslexic. Corcoran attended a Catholic primary school within her community and began the high school year at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year before transferring to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
